The Ironman Football League will be celebrating it 15th anniversary this upcoming season and plans on celebrating this lofty milestone with special League-wide coordinated events and season-long promotions. The IFL will also feature past players and special team documentaries on its website throughout the year as part of its 15th anniversary celebration.
In a profession where an average team folds in only 3 years of existence and an average league folds in just 5, the IFL has successfully managed to endure and prosper for 15 long years and counting and shows no signs of slowing down.
Since the League’s inception back in 1996, the IFL has been able to achieve many noteworthy accomplishments for its teams and players alike. Some of the benefits that have been acquired by the IFL for its members include: a television contract, acquisitions of quality local high school and collegiate stadium venues, exclusive national sponsor partnerships and benefit contracts, a proven successful league structure, certification by the American Football Association as a (AAA) quality league, a high level of competition on the field, and an exclusive alliance with certain professional football organizations which offer a true opportunity for IFL players to advance to the professional ranks.
Throughout its 15 years of existence, the IFL has been bringing the idea of respectability and professionalism back to the semi-pro football ranks. Based on its principle belief of maintaining a certain kind of style and professionalism throughout the league, the IFL has been able to change people’s minds about semi-pro football and once again make it into a family-oriented and entertaining sport which local sponsors and media have once again found appealing.
With its vision of quality and professionalism along with a business-minded approach, the IFL has become a very respectable league within its community and continues to strive for excellence both on and off the field.
