IFL Hall of Fame
Class of 2008
The Ironman Football League Hall of Fame Committee has made their selections for the induction Class of 2008. Dan Greene, director of the HOF committee, announced last Thursday that four individuals were selected for enshrinement.
Those individuals are:
- Jason Huckstorf
- (Executive)
- Muskego Hitmen
- James Medrano
- (Executive)
- Milwaukee Venom
- Nick Seliger
- (Executive)
- Muskego Hitmen
- Peter Narrai
- (Executive)
- IFL Commissioner
Green announced, “These four inductees have shown constant and unselfish dedication over the years to their semi-pro team(s) and have maintained an outstanding reputation as football executives during their lengthy careers in the Ironman Football League.” After careful review of the information submitted by their peers, the selection committee acknowledges that they rightfully deserve to be enshrined in the Ironman Football League Hall of Fame.”
Jason Huckstorf of the Muskego Hitmen is the backbone of the franchise. Many people know how successful the Hitmen have been over the years. Some teams of the IFL even compare themselves with the Hitmen to measure success. “Huckstorf has done a great job with the Muskego franchise,” Chris Chudada said. “His work ethic and dedication to the sport makes my job as league owner a whole lot easier.” Nick Seliger, who runs the Muskego Hitmen along side of Huckstorf, is also being inducted. It was Seliger and Huckstorf who formed the team back in 2003 when the two of them wanted a franchise in their hometown of Muskego. Since then they were able to build a powerhouse; not only on the field, but off it as well.
Along with Huckstorf and Seliger, Jimmy Medrano of the Milwaukee Venom is also being honored as an executive. He has also built a strong franchise and is being recognized for his excellence on and off the field. The Venom team has always been innovative and supportive in their approach to business. Along with running day-to-day operations for his team, Medrano has also served as a league board member and on the league’s advisory board. In 2004, when the league used only one field for its teams to play on, it was Medrano who found a way for the league to acquire a scoreboard. Medrano has received numerous league awards and been honored for his outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence.
The final inductee for the Class of 2008 is Peter Narrai. Narrai has been instrumental in the many successes that the IFL has experienced over the last seven years. He joined the IFL in 2001 and was given the title of League consultant. He served in that position from 2001 to 2004 and worked side-by-side with Chris Chudada. They created a great tandem from the start. In 2004, Chudada wanted to concentrate more on the business side of the league and recommended Narrai to be the new league commissioner. Since being handed the job, Narrai has done excellent work as his experience and expertise has made him a great league commissioner. Narrai was recently recognized nationally for his efforts as a league administrator by being inducted into the Minor League Football News Hall of Fame in 2007.
