About Us
The Ironman Football League was created by Chris Chudada of Pewaukee, Wisconsin in 1996 with the idea of forming and maintaining a thriving and profitable semi-pro football league that will continue to advance and be successful for a long, long time.
Chris was only 20 years of age at the time, but already had the knowledge and maturity that was needed to put his plan in to action. He researched and studied other leagues, the ones that succeeded and the ones that folded. He put together a list of objectives and formed a structure that he thought was a strong foundation to build a league on.
He knew that for in order for a league to be successful and have longevity, the league must have more then just adults playing football, it needed purpose, commitment and a strong dedication to the sport and to its communities.
One of its purposes is to give young adults who are coming out of High school or College, the opportunity to play organized competitive football in a professional atmosphere. The IFL is just not for players alone, but for any individual who would like to coach, own a team or pursue league employment opportunities.
Unlike some other traditional Semi-pro leagues, the Ironman Football League believes that the league must be run with quality and professionalism above all else. The league is strongly involved with its communities and its youth, whether it is charity events, fundraisers, visiting a children's hospital or giving our community a helping hand.
It is more than just some athletes getting together and playing contact football, it offers a stadium atmosphere and a professional brand of football that sets it apart from the rest.
The Ironman Football League constantly upgrades every year with league advancements and developing relationships with fans, local businesses, sponsors, cable providers, equipment suppliers, players and kids. The IFL is called "the working man's NFL" and were proud to have that reputation.
The players, team owners and team personnel all have 9 to 5 jobs outside the league and they do not get paid to play. The players of the IFL play with passion and a love for the game that has no equal. They don't have muti-million dollar contracts or endorsement deals; they don't do commercials in their free time.
Instead they are your everyday people, police officers, businessmen, construction workers and family men who are not ready to close the chapter on their playing careers; they strictly play in the IFL for the love of the game.
Because of this ideal, the league format is not to travel outside a 50 to 80 mile radius of the nearest designated IFL stadium. The IFL is always looking for professional and dedicated individuals to join, whether you're joining as a player or pursuing to own a franchise in the league.
